Mini-Resume (More About Me)
What follows is a condensed resume of my background with only
the most recent items listed. While not actively seeking employment

- 1992-Present - Independent computer consultant specializing in
all aspects of computer security from environmental considerations to
employee and procedural matters. Especially strong background in OS/2
and DOS and reasonable background in Windows and Linux/Unix based
systems regarding virus detection and removal and
other malware and security issues without loss of data. Experienced in
web page design to
include Perl/cgi scripts for form, database and other uses. I also
possess experience in training, system troubleshooting, network setup,
and some programming to include web page design. During this time I've
also done some custom programming and database programming along with
writing some shareware programs and operating a BBS since 1989. Some
Linux/Unix security experience, to include culling and
identifying bad encrytpted passwords and related matters.
- 1974-1992 - Active duty U.S. Army. Caught in the first wave of the
downsizing. Last position held was Chief of Automation for a 10,000
person organization with over 1000 PC's. Was responsible for procurement,
system standardization within the organization, security standards,
system setup, assembly, troubleshooting and repair, a help desk, training,
and expanding the Wide Area Network (WAN) by over 300%. Created a virus
free environment along with eliminating the use and presence of pirated
programs to include 100% accountability of all hardware and software.
