My name is Bartina Wilson Peoples. I have been actively researching my family history
for 22 years. I not only research my line (Wilson), but also my husband's line (Peoples) and my step-father's line (Dillahunty) and all the collateral lines inbetween. The seed was planted in 1952 when my son was born
and I asked my husband's grandmother for family information to put in his baby book. Then in 1978 I found my great-grandfather's bible 
in my father's trunk with family information for two generations. Shortly after that a cousin was writing a book on the Randolph family and asked me to help gather information on this family. As they say, the rest is history (no pun intended), and I haven't stopped researching since. I have spent these years trying to unlock 
the mysteries of the past. I have filled out mountains of family group sheets and taken reams of notes. 
I use PAF genealogy program and GenBook to computerize my data and make family books. 
I just wish I had had all these new-fangled marvels of technology when I began this fascinating hobby so many years ago. As hard as we may work to accomplish it, the history of a family is never finished, for we are but grains of sand in the hourglass 
of time.
